My journey with meditation and asana began in childhood, practising alongside my mother at home each day. That early, intuitive connection to these practices continues to shape how I live, move, and teach.
In 1998, during my university years, I discovered modern postural yoga and began practising Ashtanga on my own—long before yoga studios were common in Türkiye. This personal exploration gradually grew into a lifelong commitment. I completed my first teacher training in 2007 and began teaching, grateful for the chance to share what I was learning. Over the years, I have studied with inspiring teachers including David Swenson, Richard Freeman, Bryan Kest, Sarah Powers, and Paul Grilley.
Alongside yoga, I have trained in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and completed a ten-day Vipassana retreat—experiences that have deepened both my teaching and personal practice. In 2007, I co-founded one of İzmir's early yoga studios. After completing Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in 2010, I taught in the US and across Europe before returning to Istanbul to open Türkiye's first Bikram Yoga studio in 2011.
I relocated to the UK in 2016 and taught at leading studios across London. Since 2021, I have been based in Hampshire, where I continue teaching students of all levels. I am currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Traditions of Yoga and Meditation at SOAS, University of London.
As both a lifelong student and experienced teacher, I weave yogic philosophy into asana and meditation, guiding students to explore the connections between body, breath, and mind. As a mother of four, I bring warmth, clarity, and authenticity to my teaching—creating a space that feels supportive, grounded, and genuine.
